This is terrible. This is one of the worst spinners I've used and everything about this was janky. I could tell I was in for disappointment the moment I saw the box. Thin paper box poorly cut and unevenly assembled held together by a hint of something sticky where a sticker should have been. One you get past the ornate holographic printing on a 'box' made of paper thinner than your average business card you find cheap thermoformed plastic incapable of holding onto the grub screws contained (if you're lucky) within and if you're not careful you won't know where they went. Luckily they stood out against the color of my carpet. Life is disappointing sometimes, and I haven't even touched the product yet. Every 10-15 dollar spinner I've purchased came in a little tin with various levels of foam holding the product securely in place, all infinitely nicer packaging then the RAMA for 1/5th of the price.
Now the product. Loud. The amount of poor decisions that lead to this size bearing being used and this quality of bearing being used must have compromised multiple peoples integrity. It's Loud. Louder then all my other spinners combined. Spin them all at once and there is the RAMA chirping away as this shit bearing wobbles to and fro no matter how many times you measure the depth of the grub screws with a caliper and adjust them to be as even as humanly possible. The one redemption is that it doesn't spin that long for all the noise to really bother you. Oh wait that's bad too. It also weighs less then the description, and I can't quite find a way to measure it that results in the numbers they have but its a weird shape so I don't know but i can't find a matching dimension.
Now for the positives. They shipped this piece of shit to me really fast. Expected ship date was 15th. Got notice on 18th and received it on the 22nd. Not too shabby.
The finish on mine was ok - minimal tooling marks in the grooves. The 'rose gold' thumb screws have this purpleish hue to them that I quite like compared to more traditional 'rose gold'
In summary, I am extremely disappointed. All the hype and wait no doubt play a part in this. Unfortunately this was my first 'Massdrop' branded product and scares me away from others I have been interested in.
