Overall I am disappointed. Reasons:
Packaging sucked - like the packaging you get on a $1 spinner from China - cheap plastic, thin and crinkly card. Altogether not the premium packaging experience you would expect. This packaging is not soemthing you would want to keep because it is great. it is something you want to throw out immediately
Spinner - did not come pre-assembled, just some flaky instructions and a hex wrench. For 50 buck I would expect it precision assembled in some sort of jig to ensure and ready to spin
Spinner - noisy bearings - I see this be being addressed. Overall the bearing sucks. I timed the spin and struggling to get anywhere near 60 seconds of spin. I would expect the best bearings in a 50 buck spinner and these are cheap, noisy, ones.
Spinner build fit and finish. The finish is excellent but for a 50 buck spinner I would have expected something with much better build tolerances. The "buttons" screw together with the spindle fitting through the centre of the bearing but there is a gap. It means that you can NEVER truly get the buttons centred resulting in a wobble no matter what. The bearing should be interference push fit to the hole but it is not - slides in easily - this also causes vibration and wobble
All in all if this is representative of Rama works output then I won't be buying again. No matter how many glossy pics.

TintovicI was about to write practically the same review...Cut to the chase...The bearing is substandard for a $50 spinner and I bought TWO. The caps were machined with little regard for "inside bearing" race tolerances...That said This is a very good looking spinner with great potential If fitted and finished with greater attention to details!

TintovicMan you must have gotten a really terrible bearing. I agree with most of your points. I guess I was lucky enough to get a bearing that gave me a minute thirty seconds plus spin times when I seriously went at it using only my hands. My only issue is the noise it generates when it goes that fast. It is making debate if I want to get another spare bearing in addition to the one coming and then oil it to quiet it down. As far as I know about the design of this spinner, if there is any wobble when you spin then it is most likely caused by the bearing itself: Mine is, and I have the vibration problem too. However the set screws should be tightened enough that you can only move the bearing in the hole it sits in when you apply substantive force to it in the direction perpendicular to its spin. In my case I dropped mine after it was assembled on a tiled floor and the bearing poped out a little on one side.

Darc-CharlieI just also noticed the product differs to description - grub screws are different AND the Drop showed enclosed bearings and those supplied are open.

TintovicI'm gonna try and get different bearings of the same size, maybe an r188 and a 608, then oil them and see how they differ sound-wise from the original. I'm not too much of a stickler for spin times so if oiling it makes it quieter then all the better. If not I really like the design and material even though I know it was probably made for a hell of a lot cheaper.

TintovicI don't like the idea of proprietary set screws at all..Loose one and that's it!

varga49The item should come pre-assembled with precision. The bearing is not an interference fit, in fact it is loose. The thumb pads spindle diameter is smaller than the diameter of the hole in the bearing so it is impossible to fit properly. I work in China at factories making stuff and this smacks of a design being given to the factory and then no one taking ownership for quality or control. I am sure the Rama design is perfect but the execution of it is terrible. The tolerances alone are telling me this. The factory has tossed these off quickly and substituted cheap crappy parts where they should have used quality ones. I see it all the time....

TintovicI want at least half my money back, this thing isn't worth what we all spent. I got an email saying they were going to be shipping replacement screws and bearing after a long screening process. So wait over a hundred days for the thing, then wait however longer until they finally do what they should have done from the get go, and they still think the effort is worth $50? Hell no. I bought a Kong bearing to put in and it works a million times better, so an extra $20 I spent just so I get when I payed for. Either give a a full refund or at least a partial because this drop has been a disaster and frankly a waste of time and money.

YokieWartoothYeah, it really is sad we have to spend extra money to get better bearings. In reply to your statement about the danger of loosing one of the proprietary screws, I agree: however once the set screws are in, you can loosen them enough to let go of the bearing without the screws poking out of their sockets.

Darc-CharlieThat is true, and luckily I received all of my screws, but the fact of the matter is that RAMA went with overseas assembly and manufacturing and it turned out abysmal even with receiving all the correct parts. I worked worse than the $3 one I bought off of Aliexpress and received free shipping. All in all I want a hefty refund for this.

YokieWartoothJust ordered a Kong 3 in 1 Spinner XD. It looks so cool! For $20 and that size? Hell yea! Wish I saw it before this one. Although I like the weight of the massdrop spinner. BONUS: it comes with an r188 bearing!

Darc-Charliethe only downside to the Kong is that the cheap but nice looking RAMA thumb pads don't fit the r188 bearing unless you can grind it down

YokieWartoothI thought about that too. But with the heavier brass model spinner (and for me, the added weight of copper Kong), the deeper dish of the Kong buttons give better purchase for the heavier spinner.

YokieWartoothEnded up that the Kong didn't fit my RAMA spinner (just fractions of a mm to wide in diameter). But I still love it! Especially the fact that it has the capability to balance on the caps when you spin it! Ordered a r188 to 608 bearing adapter off amazon and it quadrupled the RAMA spinner's spin time (from 00:01:35 to 00:06:26)! The old core of the RAMA spinner is now the Kong's new base.

Darc-CharlieIt should fit, mine took a little bit of effort the first time but it'll go in and then you can easily remove it afterwards.
