Following up on this post: https://www.massdrop.com/buy/massdrop-x-rama-s01-remedy-spinner/talk/1792683?utm_source=linkshare&referer=QMKKRR .
The Kong 3-in-1 came and I popped it into the Rama spinner and I have to say...I'm not that impressed. It looks great and feels wonderful, and by itself it's quiet, but not that much quiet than the Rama spinner. I'm not sure what I was expecting as this is the third spinner I've ever tried. I guess with all the recommendations here I was expecting it to make virtually no sound, but I can hear it clearly and I'm sure my co-workers can as well. Forget spinning it on the table; it's actually louder than the stock bearings.
But as for spin time it's definitely a lot longer. Double the spin time, at least. Mind you I reseated the bearings (both the stock and the Kong) a few times to make sure the grub screws were as even as possible, so the stock bearings were as quiet as they can be without prying them open. The Kong adapter was actually louder the first time I installed it (and after I had to strip some of the anodizing inside because it wouldn't fit perfectly), but after re-installing it got a bit quieter, but not nearly to a level of sound I was expecting.
The rainbow look definitely adds a better splash of color than the rose gold/pink of the original buttons, and they're much more comfortable to hold. Just the sound is very loud; I was trying to do some homework while spinning and I just couldn't concentrate because of how loud it was. The same was for the stock bearings.
But I like it anyway and, if anything, I will have a second--smaller--spinner to tinker with at my desk. I was surprised at how weighty the package was when it arrived (came in a nice tin canister as well) and the weight of the adapter combined with the Rama spinner is magnifique.

romeviMy Kong was loud in the beginning as well. All scratchy and noisy sounding. But once I kept spinning it inside the Remedy and let the bearings break in, there was hardly any noise and it spins almost 3 minutes longer then the original on a table spin, totaling 6mins+. One finger flick is like 5:30mins.
There is still a noise but its leaps and bounds better then the shitty bearing we got originally.
When I installed the Kong it was very very snug inside the spinner, where the hex screws don't even serve any purpose. I don't know how well your Kong fits in you spinner though. It seems like the diameter of the bearing placement hole of the spinner is different from spinner to spinner.

romeviMy Kongs (which I had for a while now so maybe they are more broken in) make a very soft, barely audible, high-pitched metallic sound. I get a 6+ min table spin time with the brass. I hold it in my fingers while waiting on my computer and just give it one flick and it just spins and spins and I can barely hear or feel it vibrating. "Remedy+Kong" is my best spinner at the moment (admittedly I only have a couple "good" ones).

awkThis is almost exactly how my Kong is sounding. When I first opened it, the Kong (mine is copper, dont know how much that matters) was so silent that I couldn't even tell if it was spinning or not. After a while in the Remedy, there is now a very faint, high pitched metallic sound. But have to hold it up to my ear to even hear it. So much better than the original Remedy sound.....you know.....that lovely fork in the blender sound. 😬

SegaGen3sisAfter using it for almost a day I can say that it has definitely gotten a lot quieter. It's still audible, but I definitely notice the difference. I used to be able to hear it when spinning it while standing and having my arm completely down and relaxed; now I barely hear it when in the same position.
