The new bearings are smoother, quieter, and shielded, but they rattle so much on one side. I don't know if it is a flaw with the bearing that I got. I assume it's the embossed shield hitting the removable caps or the spacing and wobbling. I run with just the caps and the bearing and you can definitely hear the rattle. With the body on, the bearing upside down is completely silent, but while transitioning and right side up, you can hear a slight rattle. That is what is happening with one of the new bearings that I got.
Looking to get r188 bearings, it's adapters, and some 602's, and, probably unlikely, a symmetric body as I'm content with the MD/RAMA triangle body but want to try the other bearings. Less money here, more on other stuff, like raw denim and mech stuff.
