Since this is a Massdrop knife, if, over the course of the knife's life it needs service, what does the customer do?

nmatheisJust wanted to add that it looks like a great knife, and I'm strongly considering purchasing one. Clarification on warranty support is important for my decision, though.

JSG1@MillitKnives offers the same limited lifetime warranty on this knife as with all others they make - if you have any issues, just contact our support team from your transactions page and they will provide service. Please note that they are not responsible for damage caused by users trying to "fix" things themselves - just send it in for spring replacement or anything else. I will be updating the page and discussion with complete info tomorrow (we're out of the office for Presidents Day today).

JonasHeineman@MillitKnives Thanks for your response, which brings up two more questions: 1. What exactly is this limited lifetime warranty? Many of us like to maintain our knives, which includes disassembly for cleaning and lubing, so the complete details of the warranty matter, since a minority of companies (for instance, Kizer) are quite severe and don't honor a warranty if a knife has been disassembled. 2. If the knife is manufactured through Millit and the service is through Millit, why can't a customer contact Millit directly for service?
