photos of 660S driver: https://www.innerfidelity.com/content/sennheiser-hd-660-s-over-ear-open-headphones photos of 58X driver: https://diyaudioheaven.wordpress.com/headphones/measurements/brands-s-se/hd58x-jubilee-massdrop/
they don't really look alike, so I'm having doubts about this comment by CEE_TEE: This driver is closely related to the driver in the new HD660S. Same size (both 38mm as confirmed by Sennheiser), same materials, there are some differences in the damping scheme and driver housing.

WiHHi_Z3_PuXI wonder if the driver changed completely from the one that was in the prototype

ManiaxMaxwhat I find slightly strange is why they couldn't paint the back of the driver black and use thin/transparent foam.
then it would look like the prototype and close to original 580 inside.
white + green back of the driver is something they wanted to hide. what it that green bit anyway? I am guessing that's where cable contacts are.
