I haven't had much time to try my HD 58X, but right out of the box, they are very tight around your head -- tighter than 6xx out of the box. A bit uncomfortable on my jaw. I used my iPhone X with Dragonfly Black to drive them. They run easier over my 6xx (iPhone) and volume can be raised higher which is a plus. 58X pads feel stiffer so I'm not sure if I will change them just yet. Bass is def more present over my 6xx. I have to compare if the base is tighter than my 6xx -- 58x bass is stronger and more noticeable. So far thats my take away but, maybe today I'll run them through my Pioneer Elite receiver. Note* tight base is important to me.
