HypebeastI own the HE-400Is but not the HD58Xs, so the following comparison is done from other people's sound analysis, and the pictures I've seen, and my experience with the HD558s.
They're both mostly neutral headphones, but the HE-400Is are planar and have more "energy" to strings and have more impact in the percussion and details galore, but have recessed vocals. Some people have build quality problems with the HE-400I, but my pair and many others' are going fine. HE-400I uses a lot more metal and higher quality plastic and feels higher-end compared to the HD58X's plastic. The HD58Xs have a more lower mid focused sound signature, while the Hifimans are recessed in the vocals. The HD650/6XX seems to emphasize the upper mids, and the HD600s seem to emphasize the mids in general (but are more expensive even used, and come with a 10FT cable). The HE-400Is are also a lot airier and spacious sounding, while the Sennheisers are more narrow and intimate (which isn't necessarily a bad thing, just person preference), and because of a lack of "air" the HE-400Is have, the Sennheisers sound slightly darker overall. They are both are easier to drive, but not necessarily easy. Some phones and devices might be able to power them, but you should definitely think about getting at least a cheaper DAC/amp combo like a FiiO Q1 if you want to go portable, or Schiit Fulla 2 if you want a desk setup.
