phaysaalprobably not, if the cable has the same technology it doesnt change the sound (unless its really bad or something), it might be better material tho.

phaysaalI really think the original in-box cable are pretty good!!! its of good quality!!!! no interference within the wire !!!

phaysaalI also think the Sennheiser stock cable is better than the average stock cable, though I’ve enjoyed the Wireworld cable I got for my HD 800, and I’m considering ordering a fairly short cable from Wireworld for my HD 58X Jubilee/HD 650. I’ve also read great reports about cables from Cardas, but I haven’t tried those myself.

EvshrugIve always had a thing for audio technica cables, atleast from the MX line, just thick and they fell good

EatingdonutsAh, and I think the Audio Technica ATH-AD cables aren’t even removable without cutting/soldering.

phaysaalI bought this same cable, it works but the clear part of the cable is rigid and makes ALOT of cable noise, the connectors fit well but the black section of the cable is janky, and by janky I mean the worst I have ever seen. its been many weeks and it is still not straight I have tried to straighten it with weight and a heatgun I have resleeved the cable to make it better, but it really is crappy. Im currently looking for a better 4pin xlr or 2.5 trss cable.

AtolahThank you so much for your very detail sharing. It really helps. I ordered the cable before but now cancelled it. I think I would better wait. If you can find a better 2.5 trss, please let me know.
