exmachina64Don't trust me, if I were you I would do my research instead. Quick and the fastest way to find your answers. This Gaming Headset isn't new after all. But, if you have the moment to read my thoughts about this product, then I can tell you that it's worth the price. $119.99 with free shipping is a steal.
I don't trust Massdrop due to false advertisement and they are eager to sell many as they can. It says "Based on the Sennheiser PC 373D, the Massdrop x Sennheiser PC37X features the same exceptional audio and microphone quality, with some key tweaks to make it even better. " I can agree that the sound quality is decent, but minor tweaks and the microphone quality is a lie. It's pure marketing.
This PC37X model came from PC37D as it says in the description. PC37D is technically the same as Sennheiser Game One headset. Major difference between PC37D and Game One is the mic quality and volume adjustment. Game One has better volume adjustment and mic quality. It's a bit muddy. Even the PC36D has better mic quality. After all, it's a "Gaming" headset. Not an audiophile headphone with high quality mic. If you already have a decent headphone and you're looking for a great microphone then I recommend you ModMic 5.0 from Antlion Audio.
I don't know why TheSkeleton would even bother to compare a gaming headset mic with Audio Technica AT2020+. AT2020+ is a pure professionally built microphone used by many (Not focused on gaming nor a headset).

KITTYSorry everyone. But if Kitty says the Antlion modmic is better. I'm going to agree. I've used Antlion mics for 5 years. 1.0 to 4.0 and waiting on the 5.0 Nearly every person I've talked to in voice has said my mic makes me sound as if I'm in the same room. Minus all the horrible noises produced or caught by every other mic.
And yet it sounds like this mic isn't bad for coming with the headphones at this price. Choice is simple. 2 unit solution or a single unit.

KITTYThere's plenty of YouTube videos with mic tests included to prove that statement to be hyperbolic and wrong.

KITTYThe reason the mic on the PC 373D was trash is because of the USB dongle that compressed the sound of it. The PC37X's mic is more comparable to the one of the PC 363D because of the analog plugs. I'd say the mic on the PC37X is much better than all other gaming headsets, but a mic that small will never beat a proper condenser microphone like the AT2020. This headset is a steam for the price! I'd recommend it any day over another gaming headset.

KITTYWell have to see I'm not saying I disagree with you the mic might be terrible but I'd rather just see for myself rather than looking it up.
