Mario.PaulI think what you are referring to is the result of binaural recording, which should work with any headphones. A pretty well known example is the virtual barber shop audio on youtube.

Mario.PaulI've been playing a lot of CSGO with them. They're awesome! I can finally hear everyone's footsteps and where they are coming from. I never understood the importance of walking until now.
The sounds of the guns and explosions is also great. It is very easy to determine the direction/distance of sounds. I'm really in love with these headphones.

You guys ever been to Disneyland, to that little animal zoo/museum, which you get to using the Disneyland Railroad? Inside the museum, there are a bunch of booths with headphones and a cool narration and animal noises. The stereo effect is amazing, and those are some cheap replaceable headsets. What I do know is that the drivers are designed specifically to create an amazing soundstage, as you can feel as if a Panther is literally breathing close to your shoulder.
That is what I've been looking for for gaming ever since, especially on a game like CSGO where spacial location of the enemy is almost like a sixth sense that trumps any other hardware advantage.
