If anyone knows how to set these up on a PS4 to have game audio and chat WITHOUT the PCV 05 adapter/UNP Console Cable, it'd be greatly appreciated. Currently have a Turtle Beach DSS and Syba USB adapter and can't seem to get the chat to work.
Really just trying to avoid plugging these in directly to the PS4 controller due to interference and audio quality.

ChickenNoodleSoupI have this exact setup. I use the PS4 optical out to DSS (with DSS plugged into USB on ps4 for power). Syba usb is plugged into the front of the DSS. This looks a bit clunky since you have a syba sticking out of the DSS, but it works just fine.
I then plug the headphones directly into DSS and the plug the Mic into Syba (this leaves the sound output of syba unused). Lastly, you need to change PS4 settings under devices to output chat to "TV/amplified" to hear the chat sound (otherwise it sends chat through the syba output, which has nothing attached).
PS4 optical -> DSS optical PS4 USB -> DSS Sybe USB -> DSS front USB Headphone Audio (green plug) -> DSS Headphone Mic (red plug) -> Syba PS4 settings -> devices -> audio devices -> output chat audio to TV/amplifier
P.S. Don't use the Dolby decoding (use pass thru) otherwise chat audio will sound strange and typically be much quieter.

RufusThanks for the set up but for some reason it didn't work for me. I think the issue for me may either be the Syba itself or the USB port on the DSS. The reason I think it's that is because the DSS headphone output works just fine (been using that for probably a month now) but when I try using the Syba the PS4 doesn't recognize there's a mic attached. When I test the Syba's headphone output, I don't get any sound.
Checking my settings: * Sound and Screen > Audio Output > Primary Port > HDMI (though this doesn't seem to make a difference for me since I'm playing on a monitor with no speakers) * Devices > Audio Devices > Input > None (this seems to be the problem) * Devices > Audio Devices > Output > TV or Amplifier
Checking the DSS: * Optical out > DSS * PS4 USB > DSS * DSS > Syba > Mic * DSS > Headphones * DSS lights: Plex / Digital In (default) * DSS lights: Dolby Bypass / Digital In (didn't even know this was a button until your comment above, but it doesn't seem to make a difference)

I guess I'll have to try another USB sound card. The only other thing I can think of is that I'm using a PS4 Pro and maybe they changed how the USBs work? Who knows but I'll try and keep my post updated.

ChickenNoodleSoupHello, did you ever get this to work? I have the same setup, except my mic works thru syba but the quality is horrible. Sounds like im talking thru a tube on the other end. Just want to see if its common or if i have a defective mic. Ive tried 2 different syba adapters and thr mic quality is still bad.
