Hello, I just joined, primarily for the audiophile products. Looking at purchasing the NHT C3 speakers for our new living room. Space is about 15 feet wide by 33 long and they will fire long ways. Space is just for general listening, music room with all equipment is downstairs, so hoping they will fill it with sound nicely. Cheers.

Sound is great. More emphasis on the bass than in other gaming headphones I've had, but this isn't a bad thing at all. Sound stage is great, leakage from the open back is actually not bad at all.
Microphone I found to be very good, very clear. A bit of experimenting with recording 'p' and 'b' sounds went well without much pop - I'm sure a foam over-the-end type filter would improve that even further. Offsetting the mic a little so it wasn't directly in front of my mouth made any pops almost disappear entirely as well.
The clamping on them is _seriously_ tight - WAY tighter than it needs to be, and I say this as someone with a small head. The clamping doesn't feel spread evenly around the whole cup either, more of the force is applied to the forward side (so the jaw/temple area) than the back or top. I've tried this both without glasses, and with glasses (frame <1mm thick), and it's just as bad either way, the clamping is no less uncomfortable without glasses.
I'm attempting to stretch them out - so far they've only had 1 night over a box, will continue to do so. However, I'm not holding my breath - I don't particularly want to disassemble it, but I'm fairly certain there's no metal bone in the band, it looks to just be plastic, so I'm not confident it will bend to shape.
If I can't stretch the band over the next few days, I'll update this, and leave them longer-term sitting over something else to stretch. Failing that, I'll likely disassemble them to see if there's a metal band I can remove and attempt to modify directly, or maybe attempt to DIY a replacement for the extenders with an aluminium plate. And if all of that fails, I'll wind up throwing these headphones away or giving to someone else (after warning them!) - which is a shame, as they're otherwise great.
