MikefromEarthDamn, I'm really disappointed... these are so comfortable and all I ever heard was how a higher end stereo headphones was way better than a "Gaming" headset but my 50$ Turtle Beaches destroy this ones directional audio in PUBG... what am I missing? I truly feel lied too :(

Jedi JawaAre we supposed to download drivers for the 373D? Just got them today and plugged them in to test the audio. Can not hear any bass while listening to music and the sound quality is below that of the HyperX Cloud 2. Am I missing somthing as well? If not, then I am severely disappointed in these and should have stuck with the cloud2.

maccbiddyWe're in the same boat. I mean I can always buy a Sennheiser GSX 1000 but to pay an additional 200$ to get a 120$ headphones to work as good as a 50$ pair is kind of crazy. We have to be missing something.

Jedi JawaLied to about what? This is a simple stereo headset. It doesn't claim to be surround sound.
One suggestion I have is that perhaps you have PUBG or Windows audio set up to be surround sound still, or you are plugged into a center or rear channel on your motherboard. Make sure to set everything as stereo.

maccbiddyI resolved a lot of my issues by installing the Nahimic 2.5 software that functions with my motherboard. By activating the surround sound it has greatly increased the sound stage to acceptable levels. Maybe your motherboard has some propitiatory audio software that'll help. I believe you can also buy something like Razer 7.1 software or even Dolby.

tanggamingNope, I thought the same thing until I saw the headset on twitch and for sale for 50$ and it's a beast... I threw the Logitech G533 and new 2017 headset aside and used the x450 Stealth for turtle Beach ever since. It's a really nice headset. As I've stated since I got these working pretty good now but certain frequencies are too high. These are probably best supported with audio equipment or the Sennheiser GSX 1000.

Oliver_xDI have the G533's and comfort wise these are superior. The Logitech headphones are so heavy in comparison. Using software I also prefer the sound stage of these. I will most likely be also buying the Sennheiser GSX 1000 this week and see how the proprietary Sennheiser hardware expands the sound. They really should give software or drivers for these headphones as that could be what makes the Turtle Beaches so good. The driver installs directly to windows so it's not a lingering software that crashed or draws any memory... Didn't know such a driver was possible until those.

dead_pixel_designPlugged it up around 2 AM last night and when the audio hit my headphones it sounded so loud and wide I thought it was my home theater system blaring. I instantly turned it off thinking it was going to wake my wife up. Mind was blown when I realized that environment of sound was coming from my headphones. Have only played a couple rounds of PUBG with it and it's not perfect, yet, need to adjust and tweak the config until I find a sweet spot of audio... I hear everything good but the low thud of foot steps.

dead_pixel_designAmazon has the pro version for 199 atm. I'm currently as of right now listening to surround sound tests while in 2.0 mode and it's strangely good (Clarification, 2.0 still offers directional audio and surround sound apparently) . I'm guessing until PUBG is better configured 2.0 mode would be a better selection but I of course have plenty of testing to do.

maccbiddyYes using this interface does add an environmental space to the headset although after 24 hours of usage I don't think I'd recommend it. While the space may seem larger and I didn't try many games.. I feel the propriatary audio of my MSI Godlike Carbon with the Nahimic 2+ software is better. I tried tweaking the few settings on the GSX 1000/1200 and after a 24 hour period of using what I considered the best option available on that unit... the moment I plugged my headset back into my MOBO with the nahimic software it was better. The biggest problem is foot steps... They're far more quiet with the GSX 1000. Not sure if there is any way to adjust that, none I could find, but that's my ending conclusion... I'd recommend 7.1 software from like Razer or Sound Blaster than I would This device for 200$. It's marketed as an E-Sport device which strangely is where it felt less than. Any other form of content like a RPG, Movie, Youtube ... it added a great, clear, level of audio.

maccbiddyBought some Razer peripherals and they gave me a free copy of their surround software usually 19.99. It's pretty good, better than the GSX 1200 ... So what I've confirmed is this headset has a great sound stage that has a lot of depth for audio improvements and the GSX 1000/1200 is really over priced. The major problem with the Razer software over the Nahimic is to a greater degree turning your character picks up sounds from one direction while muffling sounds from another direction. The nahimic has some of that near water where it strengthens the water sounds but the Razer does it more often up hills/mountains strengthening wind audio. In some ways it's an improvement as if you turn a direction and someone is moving that way you hear it further away but on that same token you miss footsteps the same distance the opposite direction. At this point I'm wondering if there is something wrong with my GSX unit as I don't understand how now 2 pieces of software are better than a 200$ device.

Jedi JawaI read several reviews that said they were not getting a quality experience until they "configured the GSX 1000 correctly" whatever that means, maybe there is a setup/installation that goes beyond picking 7.1 in cinema mode...? I suppose it could be a bad unit, but that seems like the less likely scenario. I'm bummed it hasn't been making the cut

I looked for "settings" for it but couldn't find any software and such. If you come across anything kindly let me know. This also makes me wonder what the difference in the sound stage is between this headset and the 199 7xx Sennheiser headphones on this site. My wondering is always bad for my bank account.

After playing extensively with the headset on PUBG, im a bit disappointed that i cant max out the volumn on these headsets. dead_pixel_designHonestly no. I just spent 199$ on the new Razer Tiamat 7.1 v2 that just launched with a built in audio interface... more comfortable than this one, better mic, and functions better with software. I think I still give the Sennheiser PC37X the win on sound stage when paired with my Nahimic software. The point though is that it's an overall good experience without the need to buy an additional 200$ item or 140$. In the end it's your choice. If you have the 140$ just make sure you buy it from somewhere with a decent return policy in case you're as disappointed as I was.

But compared to the Logitech and TB it is definitely a better sound stage, more immersive. Sounds like Cloud 2's are really bad.

maccbiddyYes it appears his motherboard does have a sound card that can power the headset even in 7.1 digital surround sound. When I looked into your motherboard it makes no advertisement of audio features which is probably telling. Adding a sound card to your build would help out if that's easier than switching motherboards and on the positive side it would boost the audio from any headset/head phones.

Would an integrated soundcard make more noticeable difference? considering the above is around $45, how much would i have to spend in order to get decent output from these headphones.
