This headset is amazing. I wanted a Sennheiser headset from the beginning due to its amazing sound quality. Only problem was that I was worried about the ear pads. I am not a big fan of this velour/cloth ear pad but it isn't that bad. It comfy, and I can manage to play games for hours straight. I would like it if you could replace them with leather ear pads.(If you can please tell me) The PC37X remind me of the PC373D but its analog not digital.(Which I don't recommend since analog is more customization quality wise) All Sennheiser did was get one of their audiophile headphones and slapped the most amazing sounding microphone I've heard, I find it better than a blue yeti. Also there are windscreens for the microphone on amazon but it isn't all that needed if you're using this for only gaming. Overall I would give this headset a 4.5/5(9/10) it would become a 10/10 if there was an included windscreen, software, and leather ear pads. Love You Sennheiser!!!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ix5lNewu3J0

AumniXWe love you too! The GAME ONE pads would fit on the PC37X or PC373D. Keep in mind, using sealed pads on an open headphone will change the sonic tuning slightly. Also, the velour pads don't trap as much heat as the protein leather pads. https://service.sennheiserusa.com Replacement, original quality pair of ear cushions for our sealed headphones GAME ZERO, PC 350, and PC 350 SE (these use a different mount than the PC37X): https://en-us.sennheiser.com/hzp-41 Just in case you or anyone else needs replacement Velour earpads: https://en-us.sennheiser.com/accessories--pc-360--pc-363d--ear-cushion-hzp-26

SennheiserThank you so much, and I do apologize for not replying to you all earlier. I will be purchasing the leather ear pads, I like the feel more and it doesn't catch that much dirt as the velour but by my imagination I bet the leather is just as comfortable if not more than the velour. I have another question, am I able to change the top pad on the head band or is that all that is available, and do you have any tutorials on how to properly remove the earpads and the pad on the head band? Thank you again.

AumniXlooks like we have similar interests considering your above YouTube content and the dialogue between you and Sennheiser...not to be a nosy fxxker but perhaps specific stars could be aligning at this moment, after seeing that you do YouTube Gaming/Audio related videos (at least you did in the one you posted above haha) perhaps you'd be interested in doing a collab? Or maybe a series? I'll have to check out your work. I've got a killer setup as far as production and editing tools (software related and wayyy too much money spent on my audio hardware) and uhhh yeah I've been looking for people to network with that wanna do work and have some fun (seems like the ones with no personality aka no subs no fun no creativity guys don't get too far) and you seem legit dog drop me a line if you're interested.

SennheiserHey it's so relieving to see you guys reaching out on communities such as MD! I recently received my HD800S from Sweetwater and am planning on doing a video on YouTube to cover how immersive and dynamic the soundstage is for gaming on the PC. Thing is, the headband just doesn't agree with my head (broke my heart the moment I realized how odd shaped the old noggin is :p) and the earpads are very comfy but I admittedly get a little hot and do not want to accumulate any sweat into the stock pads I have. My point is, I've searched high and low, far and wide for a solution to both problems and whether it's head-fi, eBay, Reddit etc. I just cannot find any headbands or custom earpads for the HD800(S) (btw yes I'm aware of the very unique shape of the pads and please know that this isn't a complaint but rather a very unique opportunity to glean some valuable information that I know the community at large would appreciate) SO haha forgive me for being so long winded but I must know, could you point me in the right direction? I'm totally aware of the changes to the sound signature that come along with switching pad material but I'm so curious as to just how amazing nice pads & headband with memory foam both wrapped in leather just might feel. There's a lot of guys who use these for gaming and a lot of people who love the hobby enough to make the investment and I think marrying the audiophile/audio enthusiast community with the gaming/PC enthusiasts such as myself would bring an amazing topic up for the video I'm working towards. Please understand how awesome it would be if you could give me any info at all that would help and thank you if you took the time to read all of this, one of the reasons SENNHEISER IS KING of immaculate audio!!!! (End fanboy rant)

dr0wzyyHello dr0wzyy, Well of course, its great to see people pour their passion and effort into their hobbies and work... those people, like you, always seem to be more vibrant and get more out of life.
To be clear, you're saying the earpads are comfortable, but you're concerned about sweating on them and you find the headband uncomfortable. Right now, we only make one kind of earpad (left and right) and headband. We'd like to discuss this internally and get back to you, but could you help us out and describe how the headband is uncomfortable, and what you would change?
I also found your your comments about gaming with the HD 800 S and streaming interesting. Are you also on Head-Fi, with the same username?
For everyone else who finds the existing headband comfortable, don't worry you're not alone either ;)

SennheiserI am a long time fan of your products and satisfied customer owning the pc350, pc360, pc37x, and now the hd6xx. The pc line has been my headset of choice for years, but once I put on the hd6xx's with their split cushion design for the headband, I dont want to go back. It's likely just due to my own weird head and sesitive scalp but the preasure directly on the peak of the head caused by most headset headbands is an issue in longer gaming sessions. I would love to replace the headband padding on my 37xs with a pad like that of the hd6xx. Is there a replacement product available which attaches using adhesive like the pc37x's but with the split padding design? If not I would love to see pc380s with that style and material headband padding.
PS. After writing the above but before posting I did a little research and found your gsp 300 and 600 series. They seem to have all the features I desire and will very likely be my next headset purchase. Seeing that, please feel free to ignore my previous statements or take them as positive feedback that you are meeting the needs of this customer!

ToTouchAnEmuGlad you found what you were looking for! Just a heads up... some things have changed, and Sennheiser Gaming has spun off to become its own company now, so gaming related accessories can be found at EPOS Audio (eposaudio.com). However, you can also use our HD 559 pads on the PC37X: https://en-us.sennheiser.com/ear-pads-hd-559
