Hello, I just joined, primarily for the audiophile products. Looking at purchasing the NHT C3 speakers for our new living room. Space is about 15 feet wide by 33 long and they will fire long ways. Space is just for general listening, music room with all equipment is downstairs, so hoping they will fill it with sound nicely. Cheers.

First, the sound is a bit too low. Even with the volume max on the headphones and in Windows (and in game) they just aren't quite loud enough. The sound is good but I would like to have a bit more volume. I have tried using some sound equalization which helps with volume level but introduces loud ambient noises so that won't work. I have also tried a couple software boost programs but there aren't many options and what I have tried don't work that well. Does anyone have any suggestions to increase the volume on these headphones (even just a little bit)?
The second issue was with Discord. I was playing with some friends in Discord and the headset was working fine in discord (both mic and speakers). Then I randomly heard what sounded like a Windows error ding and my mic stopped working in Discord. I could still hear them but when I tried to talk it was instead passing game sounds instead of my voice. Friends had to mute me while I fumbled around and eventually had to switch to my other headset. Never seen anything like this happen so a bit clueless as to what could have happened there. If this was just a one off fluke no biggie but if this is going to be a recurring issue that is a deal breaker. Anyone else experienced this or have any thoughts on what would cause such behavior?
I'm really liking the headphones. The comfort is great and the sound is high quality but these problems are kind of an issue for me. Hope someone has a solution.
The Discord issue was your current sound card/chip crashing- Discord will move on to the next available input in this case if you have DEFAULT selected in Discord for your input.
The best solution for both problems (assuming you don't already have one from what it sounds like) would be to buy an external USB sound card that has both a headphone and microphone port- make sure it has an amp built-in, which will help make the headset sound better and louder.
Also- this headset has a volume control on the right earcup. Make sure that's turned all the way up!
As for the volume..yes I have the dial on the ear turned to max. I guess I can look into an external sound card. Not really what I was wanting to do but sounds like that's my only option.
It cost about 75 bucks from Amazon so it was more than I wanted to spend after spending 120 on this headset but I'm happy with it now. I don't know if this is the best option as I'm not much of an audiophile. I did try a small USB dongle type card that was only 11 bucks first but it didn't boost the volume enough if at all so this was the next cheapest option that I could find that seemed good. Most of the DACs or amps I found were much more expensive and/or didn't have mic jacks.
