What?! 11 min in and only 101 purchased? Spyderco super fans, you surprise and annoy me: I thought youd descend like locusts and at least have the Delica gone by now. I totally could have slept in another half hr. Damn...at least someday, too far in the future for me to contemplate, I'll be getting two sweet Spydie sprint run knives. If I'm still alive; that far into the future, who can tell what will happen?

HatuletohFunny right? I admit I am backing out. I was super stoked at first, but after reading up on the steel and taking a hard look at my needs and collection......I’m a practical man.

HatuletohWith how long drops can be I wouldn't be surprised if Massdrop has sent multiple packages to dead people.

DmitryNQuite so, although I thought surely the Delica, at least, would be gone faster than that Para 2 model in the pic, which I picked up last week (or the week before, maybe?..doesn't matter). People like the Delica; it was pretty cheap, I thought, considering the uniqueness; no crazy colors or styles (relatively, since its Spyderco) to offend the all-knives-must-be-black-or-double-black crowd. I think I'll call those guys "knife goths" going forward. Less typing.
Those Para 2s I got with the "natural" G10, which I kind of hate, actually about an hr + 15 min to sell out, much to the surprise of everyone, since the uncoated M4 steel-bladed Para 2s were gone in about 15 min last year, and the similarly appointed Lum folder sold out even faster--about 6 min, if I recall what they said at the shop. But that might be a clue: Lums are discontinued and relatively uncommon; Delicas are everywhere, in all manner of colors.
I guess strictly speaking, the Paras and the Lum are "exclusives" rather than "sprint runs", but po-TAY-to / po-TAH-tow: they won't ever be made again, I'm told, at least not in that configuration.
But what do I know--I haven't beem collecting knives even yet a full year, so me talking about trends in Spyderco collection is a little presumptuous .
