YanboWuawesome news. i was not sure what i wanted to do with my Cyrillic set since all my boards use split right shift. this makes it simple :D.

YanboWuWhat should someone do if they bought their icon kit second hand? Should we email Massdrop or ask the person we bought them off of?

mhorganlol, the person you bought them from. Massdrop would have no way to verify your purchase.
mhorganThink logicaly. There is no direct relationship between you and Massdrop in this regard. So yes they will not send you any replacements because they did not sold that item to you. In that case you should talk to person you bought the item from.
