Honestly, I expected something of much higher quality. For reference, I own Beltman belts, as well as Equus belts, and both are far and away superior to the BBC dress belt. I will also admit that I'm a picky son of a bitch. If you are expecting high end belt quality here, you will be disappointed. The BBC dress belt is fairly lightweight and thin. That’s not a problem in and of itself, but that makes it floppy, which makes it look messy. The quality of the top layer of leather is also questionable, as it seems to be damaged pretty easily, creasing significantly where the buckle sits, and the finish cracks or crazes where the belt flexes. Yes, all belts crease where the buckle sits, but there is a qualitative difference between some marking and patina and actual damage to the surface finish. No, I'm not cranking on the belt like I'm securing a load of logs to a flatbed. This is maybe a $30 belt, not a $50 belt. I quit wearing mine, and would much rather spend $100 on a belt that will last me for years, than spend $50 on a belt that looks MUCH worse for the wear after a half-dozen wears.

vlsmThose aren't really valid comparisons. The two brands you mention are either gun belts which are much thicker or much more expensive than these belts. I'm not saying these are great but this is a $50 dress belt. It's not designed to be a thick belt that you hang a gun, mags, and other tools off of.

dobbermnI recognize that these are higher quality products, but I think they do provide a valid basis for comparison. I wasn't expecting Equus/Beltman quality at a third the price point, but I didn't even get a third of the quality for the third of the cost.
These BBC belts were represented as high quality dress belts, and in my estimation, they fall well short of high quality, and I feel that I overpaid at $50. Fit, finish, and cosmetic durability were all lacking, given that the finish on the BBC belt was visibly damaged after one use.
