This wallet looks like it was stitched on a machine , How can you call it hand stitched ?

Tony3260Tony - Great Call Out! "Hand-stitched" refers to the fact that a person is sewing the wallet on a machine and the it is not assembled in an automated production line. A purely hand-sewn with needle & gut / cord would give a much craftier look and not be so refined. Precision sewing around the seamed edges with a specialized compound feed machine is technically challenging and requires the handwork of a skilled craftsperson.

john.webbCan I pay with "hand made" money? It is counterfeit with a machine real money would look more crafty and be more durable but it takes a lot of "precision" to make.

johnevans56Your just showing how little you know about manufacturing and items of this kind. its ridiculous to think they meant that someone has hand stitched it in the way you are referring.

EarlzoHand stitching is understood, in almost every context, to mean "stitched by hand rather than by machine." There are entire communities dedicated to hand-stitching -- be it leather, sewing clothes, etc. --and the various techniques needed to do so. There are countless goods sold as hand stitched with this definition. But I cannot see a single resource that uses "hand stitched" to mean "with a sewing machine."
Where are you getting this impression?

EarlzoI have 10 years experience. I know the difference between a lock stitch and a saddle stitch. You use the term "hand sewn" on purpose to mislead those who do not know any better. How is that a feature when there exists no method below it. Many craftspeople still saddle stitch even Hermes will sell you something saddle stitched. t A lockstitch it is certainly economical yet decieving someone into thinking they are getting something they are not ie.. a stronger stitch, is the only ridiculous thing I see here.
