Why no reviews? No measurements... nothing? You’re certainly talking a lot about how great this amp is, but only a day left and you still haven’t shown any tangible evidence to that fact.
It looks very interesting, and certainly I’m tempted by the prospect, but expecting people to wait until Halloween with absolutely nothing but hearsay for their $350? Please stop emulating Kickstarter, Massdrop. Or if you must, move these projects to another website that’s meant for crowdfunded projects... because in case anyone didn’t realize, that’s exactly what you’ve bought into here. 😉

SythrixWhat do you imply by no measurments? The specs are quite torough. You assume that these numbers have been slapped there from theory? I know that these comes from measurments, yes, it would have been great if more reviewers heard it but the thing is, Superbest audio friends had one, for measurments tough it's not an easy task when it pretty much goes beyond the specs of every analysers on the market but one, even with the 555, catching these numbers is a bit of a challenge in optimizing signal path to have relevent data. and the 555 is not cheap. The bottom line is that there is zero measured distortion, measuring it is a challenge. Now if you'd like a freq response graph, that's easier but it's not even an issue, plenty of amp will have this flat line, this one will, but that's the norm with every specs there that line draws itself

Pierre111I am speaking about measurement graphs, yes. It gives a better picture of the amp's performance than just listing numbers.
No graphs, measurements, etc... means there's no finished product to objectively contrast to your money. Essentially it's a Kickstarter. You're paying for a product before they even have tangible samples to show off.
I don't come to Massdrop to fund Kickstarters. If other people do, fine, but I'm just putting in my opinion.

SythrixJude was able to sneak in a measurement while working on the SoCal CanJam video:
search
AAA 789 THD at -132.3 dB = 0.0000243% Loopback THD = -148.4 dB = 0.0000038% The amp is barely above the noise floor of the analyzer itself.

Pierre111@Pierre111, we do have an Audio Precision APx555 here at Head-Fi HQ, and you're right that this amp all but requires this analyzer to get the full measure of it. As you can see in the FFT plot that I sent @CEE_TEE (also attached to this post below), the Massdrop x THX AAA 789's floor rides right atop the APx555's across the audio band -- this is lower than any other amp I've measured, and by a margin.

(One thing I inadvertently left out that should have been in the FFT configuration text in the graph is that bandwidth was 90k (192 kHz SR).)
As for the 789's sound, I'm happy to say that it measures this way and it sounds great, too -- that's the easiest kind of story to tell. I'll say more about it after CanJam SoCal. I'm sorry this measurement is only being posted now -- we've been swamped with three CanJams in a row (NYC, Singapore, and now SoCal).
