This is the type of information that needs to be shared online. This is what the MTG community needs to hear. Especially with all this "MTG Mystery" nonsense that has been going on. I will say that I do indulge in this from time to time and it can be fun (in small amounts). Sadly, with this new influx of players from Arena, I think they are feeding into this trend and making it worse. It also doesn't help that people do take advantage of tearing through a box and getting 3 - 4 hits and attempting to sell single packs. I am hoping that Massdrop does not support this type of thing, like you explained. I personally will be using these packs to be framed in their order (little project I thought would be cool). Thanks for the comment and representing the great side of the MTG Community!
Spacebar18A friend is doing the same walk through magic's history good luck buddy!
Also this comment is for other newer players to the game:
I'm not saying to X-off buying loose pack magic product from massdrop or other sources, just be careful of the source. My favorite thing to do with these grab packs or "mystery" packs is a fun chaos draft with friends. You haven't lived until you get M11, Theros, Darksteel as your three and you're past a pack of Guildpact after a pack one pick one inferno titan.
Although the EV may be below the cost (This is almost always true for ANY pack), this is actually a great deal compared to TCG and eBay. This beats TCGPlayer by ~$23 and eBay by ~$18.
Not a terrible drop if you're looking for a good way to open some great packs.
