This may look appealing but not sure why this isn't in something say...WATERPROOF?!?! I mean yeah this is great if you want your camera to be warm...because well that is the one thing people are worried about outdoors with rain, mud, and dust. Seriously this maybe the dumbest product I have seen on massdrop ever.

HSVJerryYeah, I don't get this product, either. The down does absolutely nothing for the camera, the nylon shell is too thin to provide any real protection, so the only useful part is the rainfly.

jari.perhoI assume the down offers some level of impact protection, although I don't think this would be very effective. Having the fly as a separate layer doesn't make a lot of sense - having it inbuilt would be a lot easier.
I actually use a similar set up by putting my DSLR in a dry bag along with my down jacket when it's raining profusely. However, most of the time it's on my shoulder strap with a Peak Design Capture Clip and Shell which works well.

serifOmg, thank you for that! Now to see if I can get my German grandmother to knit something like that for my camera!
