The disappointing massdrop saga continues! For the record, I don't normally post about how abysmal things are here but this is just another great example of the sadness which continues to befall us and I can't just watch from afar anymore.... What happened massdrop? Is there just no longer any pride in making impressive deals with manufacturers to move large volumes of product for them? Whether its $6 from aldi, or its one of the dozens of other possibilities online this product simply does not scream impressive in comparison to whats available.

This isn't to say Matfer makes any substandard product (A quick search on the goog turned up $400 apple peelers by them, so either someone is being taken, or they might be an industry standard). I honestly know very little about the brand and its quality so they may be very good. However I am just not sure this is a great "Massdrop" deal for anyone who is not a Matfer groupie or puts out less than 10 pies a month. Who knows, maybe there is something in this drop that most of us simply cannot see. I'm still gonna pass and go for the evil alien lathe instead!
Sorry for the rant, almost fell for this drop the last time and I'm just not sure it's really worth it. Get a c clamp for your suction cup base, its cheaper. lol

StochlabAlso looks just like one harbor freight used to sell. That one was probably like $10, before coupon.

SefaliWell hold on now Sefali, you're just way off on that. Barbre bait sold theirs for a whopping $6.99 (REF https://web.archive.org/web/20100517002615/http://www.harborfreight.com:80/general-merch/kitchen/hand-crank-apple-peeler-96153.html ) but you tack that coupon on that and we are talking pennies!

Stochlab😂 Nice find. Guess I woulda lost the “closest, without going over” contest, huh? After coupon, you coulda got a $60 peeler for $5. A buddy got one years ago, and I remember playing with it. I can’t imagine this one being built 7 to 11 times better.
