KoxingaIf I remember correctly, good chinese kitchens use carbon steel woks. So I think this will work just fine, but it doesn't have a handle to rock and shake the food with.

AutarkyYou can use a towel in hand and then use the loop handle to shake and rock the food around

AutarkyThe bottom of a paella pan is much flatter than the bottom of a flat-bottomed or curved bottom wok, and the sides are much shorter. It would make a big difference in heat distribution.
