How do you reassemble these keyboards? The front of the keyboard case unclippped. I can't reconnect the damn things.

You can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 5/25.
FYI, not everyone can afford a Topre keyboard. And besides, is there a wireless/Bluetooth Topre keyboard out in the market? Lay off the Kool-Aid.
ALP switches are shit. It feels terrible. Topre is the best.
LOKIA007
nope Stop saying what shit and what's not. it depends on the user
julientaq
I had a Matias laptop pro, that's why I know how shit they are.
0hh do I want one of these in ISO. Any language. I can get my own keycaps.
DreadDave
+1.
DreadDave
Hey,
how can you get your own Alps keycap? I can't find any way to do so.
Hey, does someone kow if the secure pro work with a Mac? because, i'd prefer the secure pro keycap (yes, it's only a matter of cap, with keyboard, it"s always what maters, doesn't it?)
I wonder about key type, I know that this keyboard have 2 type(mac, win) If I join, can i choose mac type keyboard?
B.Chul
You can choose the laptop pro (mac) or the secure pro (mac), but they have some differences. (you can see it at the bottom of the page of the drop
I would have purchased if it was their ergonomic model.
Do the keyboards in this drop have all the funky European characters on the keys or are they the cleaner versions shown in some of the pictures?

Matias provide keybaps for their keyboard:
http://www.keyboardco.com/keyboard_search.asp?sr=matias+keyset&ss=code&vat=false&sit=1&sip=1&sid=1&sim=1&key0=1&lay0=1&rtv=100
It's PC all over, but i think the keyset can easily fit. Someone should ask Matias.

Thanks for the info. It looks like those are just the same keys though. Also, I wouldn't spend another $60 for keycaps on a new keyboard even if they had Mac keys. If there were to include just a couple of keys to replace the Windows keys with Mac keys, I would be interested in the Secure Pro.
Is there any chance of getting the Matias FK302Q Quiet Pro Keyboard for MAC? I want a mechanical keyboard played out for MAC and with a numeric keypad.
owner of a secure pro from a previous drop:
The tactile key switches are between MX brown's and clears, closer to browns IMO, worth trying out. I like them.
The "up to a year of continuous use" for battery life is really exaggerated. my battery has never lasted more than a month between the low battery indicator flashing. I followed the charging instructions when I first bought it. I use a computer every night for a few hours, sometimes a different keyboard, but usually the Matias.
Matias customer service is great. 10/10. I called them for an issue unrelated to the battery when I first got it.
Keycaps hopefully will be replaced with whatever Matias produces for PBT. The ABS ones are already starting to fade for me.
Not worth if you live in the UK.
If this gets dropped again, I'd love to see the Ergo Pro (specifically the Mac variant) added as an option:

In the meantime, I'm really happy with with my bluetooth Laptop Pro (especially the projected battery life).
I consider it a bit of a positive. Mini and micro USB ports tend to be fragile.

Thanks again for joining the drop with the community. We submitted the group’s order with the vendor for the Matias Pro Keyboards shortly after the drop ended and they have begun preparing it for shipment.
Once the group’s order is ready at the vendor’s location, they will send the bulk shipment to our fulfillment center where we’ll break it up into individual orders and ship them off to you as soon as possible.
The moment we receive confirmation regarding the shipping schedule from the vendor, we will provide you guys with updated information on the status of your package.
Expect an update from us on 2/5 or sooner.
I have matias quiet pro for work, and a cherry MX black at home. There is a huge difference so don't think of this as the quiet version of a cherry switch. The blacks are smooth as butter but noisy coming back up. Matias are more "crunchy", at least the "quiet pro" is. I like the keyboard overall but the glossy shine gets dusty easily and if you're into flat-response it will bug. Overall I like the black cherry better, but for work atmosphere these have served me well. Subjective, but I hope Matias brings more variety and choice to the table in the future. Wireless isn't necessary for me so I'll skip this drop, but at least it seems they're moving and working on new models!
This product sucks.
Correctly implement Bluetooth 4.0 which supports AES encryption.
Wait for the next development cycle... Don't support this outdated technology.
Nvm read the post XD
Hey guys, I'm interested in purchasing this aswell and am wondering what model would be ordered as I would like the Laptop pro in silver if it were possible
does this charge other devices from the battery? or does it charge other devices only when the keyboard itself is being charged? What is the battery life of the bluetooth version? (same battery?)
As a wireless keyboard noob I've got a few questions:
1. How does one turn the keyboard off/on? If you forget to turn it off does it do it on it's own? If so, how long and can this be adjusted?
2. How common is the battery in this keyboard? If it dies will replacements be relatively easy to find?
3. Anyone here who uses this to game with? Any lag?

"1. there's a small button on the top edge of the case to toggle on/off. It does not turn off on its own after a period of time."
Are you sure? This seems kind of flawed. So if you turn off the computer or it goes to sleep and you forget to turn the keyboard off - the board will run down? Crazy.
everyusernametaken
I forget to turn mine off all the time. I charge my keyboard maybe once every 3-4 weeks? You can still use the board with the usb charging cable plugged in
Got in on the Matias BT keyboard last time around, and for the most part its great.
The one part that does piss me off more than expected: the USB charging cable is this ridiculous USB (standard) to USB (standard) - which means that I have exactly 1 cable to my name that will charge it. I have no idea why they decided not to use a a typical USB to mini usb or USB to B cable.
I'm a previous buyer of the Matias Secure Pro. Just wanted to let the MD community know that Matias' customer service is great. I had a small problem with my Secure Pro, and the replacement was cross-shipped to me (internationally) without the need for me to spend my own funds to ship the faulty board back.
Matias also have a solid presence of the Geekhack forums too, where you can find out about on-going projects (including PBT caps), and talk to the CEO of the company.
Proxxiify
My CM storm keyboard is the same way. Full size usb plug on both ends. I ended up getting an adapter on amazon that converts one end from the full size usb down to micro usb. This way I can also use it on my old nexus tablet if I need to.
The keycaps are made from what type of plastic? I'd imagine ABS, but I just want to be sure, since it doesn't seem to say in the description.
legolizard
All the Matias caps are ABS at this time. I believe Matias had mentioned plans to produce PBT cap sets soon, but they're still not available as of now.
I'm also interested in this drop....
how much was this drop for?
