I had this watch mailed in and wear it couple days. Most are fine, time is accurate, good look, the strap feels good. But the clasp does not suit for the price. One thing got my attention is that I have to wind the watch manually even I wear it all day. It cannot self wind by regular office work condition, Are yours same as mine?
Another question already be asked, I review their website, nowhere to register product, how does the warranty work? The card is blank, no retailer signature? It does not look very well.

lwjmbaI use a watch winder. Winds to a full charge in an hour or less. i would recommend a good watch winder for anyone who collects automatic watches.
lwjmbaI also would like to know about the warranty card. Can anyone please advise?

Well, I did find one teensy weensy little scratch on the polished facet of one of the case lugs. I don't think I put it there which means maybe the watch came with it. Really small and I had to look closely to find it but definitely there. I looked at the watch many times over the last few days and missed it until yesterday. If that is what caused the watch to sell for 2k less then retail it was well worth it.

Received mine as well, yesterday. Pristine, zero scratches. Yeah, the box was kinda meh, but the watch is what I bought.
Absolutely agree about the deployant clasp; it's the most comfortable and well thought out design I've used across all my watches.
I'm ecstatic about the drop! This was well worth it.

Received mine today. I was getting nervous after reading deathwatch and Hubert_cumberdales descriptions of scratches and receiving the watch with dirt or dust on it. I opened my package from Massdrop with some trepidation but was happy to find the watch in perfect condition and in clean packaging. If they are 2nds or old stock, I am unable to tell as my watch appears to be flawless and like new. Really a beautiful piece.
Here is my initial review after a day of ownership.

-This is a beautiful watch. The dial has a nice presence and the case is finished very nicely. I was worried that it would be too flat and white, but was pleasantly surprised with the overall character. The domed crystal and reflective surfaces create a variety of effects that help keep interest. Note that my photos are of the watch with protection film still on the crystal.

-The presentation of the watch is somewhat questionable. The inner box arrived covered with oily fingerprints, and the watch itself was covered in dust/dirt. Like DeathWatch, mine also had a few minor nicks on the case back (I was unable to get a good photo using my phone). There is also some resistance when winding and adjusting the time. My other watches are much smoother, so I am unsure whether this is a matter of break in time or if the movement needs servicing. The price paid still reflects a great value (assuming the movement is fine), so I'll deal with it, however this makes me wonder if we were actually sold b-grade or old stock watches.

-I wound the watch and kept an eye on it for the full day. It kept accurate time to the minute (there is no second hand). All functions work as advertised.
-Warranty card was stamped by ML, however the model, serial, and date of purchase are blank. I normally buy higher end watches used, so I do not know if we are supposed to fill this in ourselves, or if that would breach the terms of the warranty.

Just got it today. The box is really small and not up to par for a watch this expensive..
The watch itself is beautiful but if you turn it to the back you can see why it is so cheap (relatively for a watch that has retrograde)... ANDDDDD there are more than one tiny scratches on the back. I just got it out of the plastic bag so I can only assume it is from the manufacturer! I am not sure why if it is not the case. I have only rested it on the outer box's foam.... How not careful they are... But for such a discount I will give them a pass. If I paid full retail I would certainly demand a refund.....
One plus of this drop is that i think the goods are from Maurice themselves. It does appears to be so on my warranty card.
And thanks FedEx and USPS for delivering it ahead of schedule!
Here is a well-done in around the same price bucket (does cost more) watch from JLC for comparison:

I do not know since I am not specifically interested in them before. But you can still see there is no polishing on the edges. And mostly it is just an uninspiring blank slab of SS.... You can see the rendering of the movement on their website and on the MD page. It looks better than this. Notice how they darkened the line on the rotor to make it appears to be polished in a wave patten...... That just takes more work period. I think they skipped it for cost saving. Which is understandable for 3k. But for the 7-8k original price hell no

DeathWatchI see what you're referring to now. I guess I've seen the movement in-person before so I know what it actually looks like, so no unmet expectations. Still ecstatic that we got this for well below the going rate for used on the open market.

Hey Massdrop. This Drop cost 3k and you are shipping it with FedEx SmartPost with NO SIGNATURE.............
Don't get me wrong having to sign for something is very annoying. But like for a 3k drop maybe you should ship it with more caution.

I don't know anything about this watch or brand, so maybe this is a good deal. I just can't believe there are 11 people willing to spend 3 grand on a watch!
