Damn, I just got a Rolex GMT because I love the pepsi bezel and the retro look, I should have saved my money for this!

TragiqueI might have done better, but I love the look of this watch, and I don't have many dress watches so it would be a nice addition to my collection instead of all the diving watches I have.

ytsu12Just my opinion, but Rolex watches are always dressy, so you're good to go. Non-watch people know "Rolex", but not much else. I've worn my Deep Blue "blue Swiss-made diver" with a suit. Of course, there are settings where a traditional "dress" Swiss watch is preferred--banking, law, accounting, etc. Even in those situations, a watch person will notice your gold-cased Swiss watch, while everyone else will be oblivious. It's cool when someone notices the watch I'm wearing......so happy collecting.

dholik8503I can agree with that, rolex has become so synonymous it can be worn as a dressy watch, but it still feels weird to me to wear one to anything formal.

ytsu12Good point. I wouldn't wear the Rolex GMT Pepsi bezel with a tux. There certainly are Rolex models that work well with a tux---and there are also after market jewelers who will "bling up" your Rolex anyway you want. It's hilarious to check out some of the tacky diamond encrusted Rolex watches on eBay. Cheers and enjoy your collecting. 😊

Thanks for the input! The Turn-o-graph looks great! However I have my eye on the new cellini moonphase, I will be calling a local dealer to look at models, but if it is out of my price range and it most likely is due to the new movement and extra complications, the Turn-o-graph definitely would be the runner up, that or a different cellini model but I have a few days to decide.
Cheers!
