I hope this helps jump start a new hobby for a lot of users, and helps grow our fledgling community! Skill toys are cool!

aqua_scummmExactly the reason why I joined the drop. I've always wanted to try delving into yoyos but can't justify paying roughly a hundred bucks for "just a simple toy". The price point on this is low enough that I can try out a new hobby without wincing at the cost, and depending on how much I enjoy it, it might ease me into buying better (more expensive) yoyos in the future (since hopefully, by then, I'd no longer be viewing them as "just simple toys"). ^___^

ViraelThere's a lot worse ways you can jump into it, that's for sure. One thing - please don't give up. Like so many things in life, there will be initial frustration followed by extreme joy once you "get it" on something you're struggling with. There's been times I haven't been able to land a trick after over an hour of attempts. I go to bed, start fresh the next day, and land it first try. It pays off in the end. Good luck!

aqua_scummmThere are plenty of places to buy stuff online, but you'll only get reviews at best. Massdrop is awesome in the sense that you don't just see a couple of other buyers when you buy something, but rather, you become a part of a community. And this thread is a testament to that. I must admit that I was pleasantly surprised to find a nice, welcoming, and encouraging community - and on a yoyo drop of all places! Some of us haven't even started with yoyos and we're already getting tips and encouragement. Wow. Keep on being awesome guys. All the best! :D
