I've owned a half-dozen Maxpedition bags. They are extremely well made. I had one pack that came loose because I used to ride my motorcycle with a ton of ammo in it and it started to split - they triple-stitched the strap seams for free. Excellent service. The downside is their sternum-straps were poorly designed, and the hip/waist system is always an afterthought. The sling bags don't work for me - I must stand funny because my back always hurts. So I sold/gave all my Maxpeditions away. I primarily use Arc'Teryx & Osprey packs these days, much better straps, framing, and suspension across their bag lines. Maxpedition definitely makes the most rugged bags I've owned though, and I have owned a lot of packs & slings.

SlowReloadCheck this out... Would’ve: it sounds like ‘would of’. But, that ‘ve comes from have. Would have. ‘Would of’ just makes no sense. Isn’t English fun? 😂

Just as our latest order got processed and shipped, I note that Maxpedition is now listing the full product line to be in stock again. No visible changes to the design and spec. Not sure which batch our order came out of.

CiprolMy 21L has just arrived. Drop closed on 15Jul, shipped 23Jul (8 days processing), arrived in Australia 31Jul via DHL (8 days shipping transit). Opened the packaging revealed one well built backpack. The material felt tough with solid fabric and rugged zippers. Nothing flimsy about this backpack and I'd say it fully justified its premium pricing. For my 21L, I can easily slip in my current generation 13" MacBook Pro in the main compartment with a protective sleeve. The bottom of the main compartment is slightly padded and adds a tiny bit of buffer with this mode of carriage. Quite pleased with my decision to join this drop. Looking at Maxpedition's web site again, I note that they are listing the 23L model to have again sold out in less than a week (ref my earlier post). Although the 23L model could work well for me with my MBP, I feel I'm perfectly fine with the 21L and its generous main compartment capacity.

What about the entity laptop bag? This says this drop highlights the 4 entity bags, what about the other two?

Jasonosin1Looked around and the Entity line only came out in May '18. Based on their site and the market, 23L and 27L models have been hot sellers and only the 16L and 21L models are left. So guess this drop is a run-out sale of the remaining 16 and 21 stock. I get the impression that Maxpedition is planning to add additional colour options for the line but the new stock aren't in yet. Given the present units are off the first production run, I'm not sure if the next lot will have additional improvements outside of colour options. It'll be interesting to watch but suspect they won't come back to Massdrop until some much later time point. In the meantime I've joined the drop for a 21L unit. It should come in handy and my 13" MBP can slip in a sleeve if need for carriage, though I dislike carrying my laptop in a backpack due to the uneven pressure on both the laptop and my back when carried. I do like the two internal pouches, just perfect for two camera lenses. The low key look of Entity line will be beneficial for carrying photo gears in combination with various neoprene sleeves.
