While not as high quality as Maxpedition, I used it daily for 3 years with very little wear and tear until I needed something a little larger, and my father-in-law is still using it.
Carried my laptop (14 in business class HP or Dells), iPad and various other kit that I feel naked without back and forth to work for over 6 years in one of these. Only wear was a broken squeeze clip that I replaced in about 30 seconds. No frays, no stretching, bag still looks perfect. Just relegated it to daypack duties as I am trying out a gear sling to see if I like it (tend to carry office pack on one strap and it was messing up my shoulder). Love this pack.
It's resistent to water, meaning it won't dissolve, but its contents will be soaked. I use mine daily to carry my lunch etc. Many times now in a heavy rain in the one minute it takes me to get from my car to the door of my office my lunch is soaked. Most of the water enters through the zippers. And the backpack material is soaked. I realize it's not waterproof, but they advertise water resistance. It's not more water resistant than any other backpack made from thick materials.
