I am looking for this to power my son's Beyerdynamic MMX 300 gaming headset. Can you use this for the output (the cans) and still plug in the mic input into the poorly built-in sound card? The Beyer's sound great on my HIFI but need WAY more power than even a xonar U3 can produce. The Xonar is built for gaming and has the mic input... but as I said not very powerful.

TacuzaYou should be able to do that without issue- I do the same thing on my computer. Just make sure the "mic" input is set to the internal sound card in the control panel and the audio output is set to the DAC/AMP.

TacuzaYes, but you'll probably need some kind of 3.5mm extension (3.5mm male to 3.5mm female) to plug the mic into the sound card, but it should work with no problems.
