Do you think you could get this through airport security If the blade was away and there was money in it? Would love to have it for daily use/protection overseas

mvbitengIn domestic Canadian flights, 6 cm (2.4 inch) plain blades are allowed. I thought the TSA had similar rules. I was getting this from an agent so I asked about different blade shapes. She said they’re not fans of hawkbills or serrations...or anything you don’t declare. (I also think that any blade, whether less than 6 cm or not, is at their discretion So I try not to piss anyone off.)

AxeguyThanks for your reply. I suppose I could’ve just googled it, silly me. But yes, TSA says the knife cannot be longer than 2.36 inches (6 centimeters) so it should be okay. Yehey!

AxeguyIf by chance, overseas mean South East Asia, thieves carry 15~25" jungle machetes.. I don't think this would protect anyone.

mvbitengI always fly with a knife. It’s an “Executive Edge”, made in Brazil, and looks very much like a pen. I keep it clipped in my pack pocket, next to two other metal pens. Never was detected. https://www.rubylane.com/item/672113-SLx20756/Vintage-EXECUTIVE-EDGE-Deadlock-Pen-Knife
