Update on this drop...I bought the Damascus with Rosewood. Blade is gorgeous, came plenty sharp, overall fit and finish looked great right out of the box. I like the ergonomics, blade profile, and the aesthetics (this is far more "gentleman folder" than "tactical") and would recommend the brand to interested parties. However...
Fast forward a few weeks of occasional carry and lots of fiddling: the middle screw in the grip loosened and fell out. Thankfully I found the tiny little bugger, but I don't have the right tool (tiny star wrench) to tighten it properly. I'll buy the right thing, but it's irksome that I need to.
Additionally, the rosewood scale behind the pocket clip has developed a small crack extending well past the first screw, probably as a result of me flicking the blade open and the thumb stud impacting the scale when the blade reaches full extension. It likely won't be an issue as both sides of the crack are secured, but still...what the hell.
All said, I'd buy another Mcusta knife, but I'd opt for synthetic scale materials for long-term durability.
