Nearly all of the dice shattered at different corners with only a few games rolling them, even when rolled individually. These are either for show only or you should roll them on a padded surface individually to try and minimize risk. I tried to connect with MDG and gave up after 4 emails got no response.

These are beautiful dice, but as another reviewer mentioned, these are more of a "look, but don't use" set. After just a couple games in a padded dice tray, the edges are becoming dented. I guess these are quite fragile. As others have also said, the numbers can be hard to read under gaming-level lights. Some of the numbers are off center, but you can get used to that after a little while.
I'm also disappointed but the case the dice came in. They came in a plastic 7-day pill box. The d12 and d20 were both too big and cracked their compartments by the time I received the package.
I do like the weight of the dice, but do wish they were slightly heavier.

Decent but for some reason I thought the numbers were etched in. Otherwise great quality

Quality dice but like a few others have mentioned the numbers can be hard to read. The shipping container makes a nice storage unit too.

These are very nice dice. The quality of the Hematite is very good, there are a few very small surface imperfections due to them being cut from a natural mineral deposit rather than a lab grown boule. (Which in my book is great, since it gives a small amount of character and uniqueness to each set)

The dice are solid and well made. But unfortunately the numbers are can be difficult to read in certain lighting conditions.

After only a few used two of the dice have splintered and are now quite sharp makes me think these are more of a look but don't touch item.

PonkatonI'm tempted to try applying a clearcoat or something like that to give it a bit of cushion. Clearly this metal is too brittle for dice. Be sure not to use the dice when they are cold - metals are more brittle at lower temperatures.

CincinnatuxIt's not a metal. Hematite is a type of mineral, so it won't have any of the ductility or elasticity of metals.
