Better off getting a Streamlight KeyMate - They are about $20. I use one on my dogs' harness. Last about a week of nightly walks, about 30 minutes/day. Amazingly bright and durable - it's been on her harness for a year, hanging under her chin in all weathers.

Just enough juice to find your proper flashlight :)

I own the older version. It is a terrible design. It turns on by itself in your pocket and kills the battery. It's basically useless. Hopefully this design is better. The price is way too high in my opinion for a light with such a low battery life and unpredictability.

I’ve had this a few weeks. Used it on my keychain for the first time last night. It shut down after 10 minutes of use. I recharged it right away - it worked for 30 seconds and shut down again. I recharged it overnight, and even though it appeared recharged, it will not work. Do not purchase this pice of crap if offered again.

Got mine today and I’m impressed with it. I bought it just to use on my keychain, not to replace a proper torch and I think it will do that fine with great flair. Battery life isn’t a huge deal to me as it will primarily be used just for short durations and be carried when I will have access to charging frequently.

With easy rechargeability, don't know that batter life is as big a deal. Anyone know if strobe is accessible from off or does light have to be on?

mring1except that these are not replaceable batteries and the battery will have diminished life after repeated charging. does it really only have 5-6 minutes on high (when new)? as cool as this is, i think I'll stick with my Tip CRI

Battery life is not impressive at all. But great when you only need 2 minutes of light :)
Turbo mode: 360 lumens, 2–3 min (Nitecore Tip = 30 min)
  • High mode: 160 lumens, 5–6 min (Nitecore Tip = 1h 30 min)
  • Medium mode: 20 lumens, 1.7 hrs (Nitecore Tip = 6h 30 min)
  • Low mode: 5 lumens, 8 hrs (Nitecore Tip = 46h)

actually all electronic switches have some level of parasitic drain...
DDroYeah I know, but lithium ion batteries self discharge very slowly.
