I have both SS and Ti models. There's a flaw in design: black insulation ring (can be seen on rugerty100's photo) breaks pretty quick and head movement becomes unstable (it jams frequently).
ToxicWhile that shouldn't happen, o-rings are easy to source. Just for fun I replaced all the o-rings on my Elektrolumen light with Viton, orings are cheap.
Aluminum is perfectly fine as a flashlight casing: it's lighter, has better heat transfer, and is almost as corrosion resistant so why titanium? I just don't get it.
Actually, they're not all quite the same...... I have larger JetBeam and MecArmy lights, roughly equivalent to each other. Both are designed well, but MecArmy puts their USB port on the threads, where the head screws on, and where it's protected from water and dirt by the O-ring. I like both lights I have, but I'm a bigger fan of the O-ring method.
PahaniIf u read my post u will see that the JETBeam mini has its micro usb port within the threads as well!.
Google it.
Also we aren't talking about larger lights, we are talking of micro/keychain lights.
