If I add the coils, is that additional length or the total cable length will still be 3ft?

It is setup so that the length shown is the effective length of the cable after the coil is added. If you order a 5ft coiled cable and lay it flat, it will be 5ft. The actual length of the cable is about 9ft.

Massdrop shipping is always a rough patch but why in the world does it cost more than double to ship two than it does to ship one? Totally dropping the ball here.

I got the jukebox cable to go with my miami keycaps. I think it matches just fine and arguably looks better than alternating colors on the cable itself.

There's been quiet a few of these cables that seemed decent, but ultimately unrealistic given their shipping (to non-US). If MD would simply allow smaller items like this to be shipped with our other purchases such as keycap sets, things would be much easier.

Yes, I tried once and they told me they can't. Honestly, given how MD doesn't really have a real timeline, things are always late, hard to really know what would ship around the same time. This idea is only feasible for small things like a cable.

I just figured they'd also have to store it somewhere, make sure not to loose it, make sure to remember who it belongs to, and make sure the packaging team knows to include it with which package.

Made the exact same cable for cheaper, with gold connectors.

Dang. I got the Jukebox one thinking it matched my miami keycaps pretty well, now this comes up. I don't have the cash to get both, so that sucks.

Ya I just got my Miami's a while back, and I was about to get the the JukeBox cord, too. But then I went into the discussions and they mentioned that this would be dropping soon. At least you learned for next time xp.

Hey. I have that same paracord. Just bought 50 feet for $2. Five feet of cable? $2. Pack of 10 diy USB connectors are less than $3.
If people are buying these for $25 - 30, then I should really start churning these out.
$30 for a USB cable, 😂
These are hand made as well, and they're soldered as opposed to the diy which snap together.
