Massdrop needs to do exclusive with these like the two pins, but actually improve it.

Will these fit Shure's SRH headphone range ? (The SRH cables fit the SE earphones, but not the other way around for some reason)

Massdrop says it supports ACC but MEE’s website says it only supports SBC & APTX. Does anyone know if it supports ACC or not?

It's only aptx and not aptx-hd or ldac. Gonna have to pass. Chip is old Cambridge sound radio and not the new Qualcomm Qcc low energy bt5.0 modules. It's archaic.

AndroidCloneAptX-HD requires a stronger signal strength (Source: The ultimate guide to Bluetooth headphones: LDAC isn’t Hi-res) to maintain a good connection and quality. Unfortunately after actually using the BTX1 for a month, I have concluded that it cannot maintain an unbroken connection between the phone strapped to my upper left arm and the actual unit on my head (while jogging). I experienced frequent drops and overall poor performance. aptX-HD would likely just make the situation worse, unless they improve the signal strength. I bought mine from Amazon, but it's the same item. It would explain a lot if the archaic chip you speak of contributes to the fact that it can't hold a signal. Then perhaps it would be worth the upgrade.

SythrixI have zero issues using Aptx-hd. Look up the Jabra elite 65t sport, its rock solid when I use them on a run. I have a Pixel 2 xl and the reception is excellent. At work I have access to prototype headphones so I know what you are talking about with bad reception. In a similar scenario, it came down to the actual phone and bad antenna design. Anyways,, LDAC is still better than Aptx-HD. Check out
  • Elecom LBT-HPC1000RC
  • SoundFlow (ex-bose engineers) latest qcc platform from Qualcomm
  • LG HBS-1100 which are 2 years old and supports Aptx-hd
