Does anyone know where I can buy the Right Angle Adapters that Came w/ this Cable?
So crap. Much expensive. Wow. They are around $10 on ebay/aliexpress (same wire quality). And here's the cable I made myself for my UE-11 Pro: 4 wires(can be made balanced with simple jack replacement), fully silicone (each individual wire in silicone insulation + silicone heat shrink). Soft, doesn't get stiff in cold, doesn't tangle at all.

Sorry, newb here. Will this cable work with my iBasso IT01s? Thanks.

Back To The 80's GJ
Just received this and tried them out on my Campfire Audio iems. The adapters work great, and are undoubtedly the best feature of the product. The MMCX connectors, on the other hand, have been really loose and unreliable. The MMCX joint is not able to form a tight connection with the iems, and the sound cuts out intermittently whenever I slightly move my head. Anyone else having this problem?

very strange... there must be some kind of right connector conspiracy going on
I tried them with my Shure IEMs after seeing your comment, and to be fair, they do seem to work fine with the SE215s (connection is secure). So maybe it's a compatibility issue? In any case, I think I will hold on to mine for the time being and use them as a back-up.
Has anyone used these with Shure IEMs? It sounds like they will work, but am curious if anyone has used them and what it does to the signature.

works perfectly with my se846 as a single ended. Sound wise, feel better than stock cable Witch is very stiff and keeps moving the earphones out of my ear. They don't have the memory wire witch make it (for me at least) very comfortable but takes me a bit to set it up over my ears. Sound wise "seems" like it sounds better (ruining them out of a mini m8 dac/amp stacked to and iphone) waiting tomorrow for my Hiby r6 to test this thing as a proper balance cable.
Does this worth the extra money compared to a myriad of cheap balanced cables on Aliexpress?

I have the Massdrop x Mee 2-pin one. I have zero regrets - the cable oozes quality, the workmanship is legit. The adapters are as great as the cable too. Overall just a really well-made product. If you're looking for the last mmcx cable you'll ever need this might be it.
This is a good deal, now. Comes out to under $55 US. Amazon still has it at $99 US.

hmm I guess I deserve this comment if I skipped the blue box stating the $20 off heh. Also guessing OHSNAP is not the US and has to pay for shipping if it came out to be $55...

It is because it applies a $20 coupon at checkout. You'll see it if you go through the drop/options. Yeah, I'm in the USA. I jumped on it, I actually was going to pick it up off Amazon a few days ago, glad I didn't, and waited for it to come back up on Massdrop.

can this cable work with UE900S?
I use the Earstudio bluetooth amp every day, all day. I had this cable, but I snagged it on something and broke it. I would've broken any cable with what I did. It seemed like a good quality cable and it has always reviewed favorably. I'm with you, though, MEE has really upped their prices beyond where it should probably be! However, you see these custom cable makers charging $150 a pop for a similar cable. Cables above 200 will never be heard by my ears until I win the lottery!
Can it be used with fullsize? 1540?

No, the port is recessed in the headphone unfortunately

Thx
If only one of those three right angle connectors was USB-C...

There are actually plenty of phones that can pass analog audio through USB-C via the "audio accessory mode" which uses the phone's DAC and amp. It's why there are USB-C terminated headphones that don't have a built-in DAC/amp. Having a USB-C to 2.5mm balanced adapter would work just the same as the 3.5mm single ended adapter they have here.
MrFrizzy
The USB-C Audio Accessory Mode standard uses a common GND for audio L and R - i.e. it's not balanced.
these guys used to sell iems for 20$, now selling cables for 100$
Same price as Amazon but with much slower shipping.
Pointy
Where? These are $80 here and they are $100 on Amazon unless you're seeing something that I'm not...

You missed the following on the drop page - “This drop qualifies for $20 off at checkout.”
I really don't want to spoil the mood but these cables are built very poorly. I had 3 sets break down on me in only 1 and a half years. The cable always broke at the earpiece connection...

I guess you have a pair very strong ears
almoskosy
I have been luckier than you - I have two pairs and no issues.
$99 for OFC cable, really MD, you gotta be kidding me! Guys, this cable is not better than the one supplied with UE900S or any other pair of IEMs with MMCX connector, for this much money it has to be OCC, make that UPOCC for a Chinese supplier.

Power is only one part of it. If it's a low/medium impedance can that doesn't have a wild current or voltage requirement, going balanced still yields better crosstalk, better SNR, and less noise/hum over SE. And to top it all off balanced will yield much higher voltages than SE which is beneficial between amps/preamps/etc. when we're not even factoring in balanced headphones.
Balanced is more than a gimmick depending on how you entire system is setup. Like I said earlier, my psuedo balanced gear from iFi and Fiio fits what you're talking about. But the higher end balanced gear I've listened to is true to being fully balanced in every sense. The setup also cost closer to $4k which is way too rich for my blood so I only get to sample it at my friend's house.
I honestly implore you to have some seat time with a proper balanced setup and listen for yourself. Not out of something like a Fiio Q1 mk2 or some DAP, but a proper desktop system utilizing the proper interconnects and sources.

I'm using 34 year old 600 ohm Sennheisers... they're so black when it comes to background hum, there's absolute zero, and it is bliss. But really even on SE amps, background hum should not be a thing if your amp is half decent, and that's what turning down the gain knob is for. Still can't recommend balanced, because of it's pricing
great deal especially with the balanced connectors.
Will these fit the ultimate ears 900s?? Cable connection looks similar.
ejimenezjr
it's MMCX so it should
And $20+ straight back on if you’re ordering from the UK because Massplop are too lazy/incompetent to process the import duty their end!
Hi I'm looking for the same kind of product but with 2 pin socket cable and balanced of course to use with my nuforce edc3 :-)
I also have this cable and must admit that going from SE to balanced on my DH1000 and iFi xDSD makes quite a difference. I think I have to jump on and get another pair or two for my other IEMs...

Lol, my mistake I read that wrong. For some reason I thought you said you couldn't hear a difference using the ifi xdsd with the balanced connector vs your other balanced setup, nvm. :)
jsmiller58
Hi again Jsmiller58 :) just a quick question i Need to change the stock cable of an audiofly 180 iem, and those have something like a waveform carved in the plástic above the connector that have to be form matched. So i wonder if would be possible to carve manually the form in the plástic on this cable, ?? i know you got two, hence the question by the Way i keeep waiting at the airist Dac, but it has been delayed till May. :(

I have this cable and it’s very versatile, well made and a bit on the thicker side. I like it a lot.
