CdcurtisMe too! Pretty thrilled that my gamble paid off! Will report back with a review after some burn-in and listening.
Update: So, I went to open the box, and was quickly informed that I was doing it incorrectly. Ha! (Once you get past this initial step, the packaging is actually really great! Very well planned.

Let's open up the top of this box. (As a sane person does with any package.)

treesapThey do require burn in period, so don't force too much loudness and use tunes you like and you wanna listen. After twenty or so hours on, they will be about 80% done, full period is bout 50 hours, so don't stress em too much. Also, after six- seven months, the mic cable stiffens up, mine started to loose it in left one.

m425Thanks for the input! I left them playing most of the day yesterday. Sound quality is already a bit better.
The mic cable. Is it just me, or does sound quality suffer a lot when using the mic cable with these headphones? I tried them for a minute or so, but I felt like there was a very noticeable loss of sound quality, so I switched back to the non-mic version. I'll try the mic one again soon, though, as I'd really like to have the convenience of the microphone.

treesapI don't notice the difference, but my hearing isn't pristine, so take that with grain of salt. There must be some since current is pushed through circuity. I don't believe there should be much, tho. Wait at least 30h, then form opinion on sound.
