If you read properly, they did mentioned that if you get a better price than the IEMs. You will only receive the better one. Somehow to win those items chances are 1/5000 and there's 5 items to win. Which is the: AKG Shure SE425 Shure SE535 HD800 Pinnacle
If you get one of those that means you're VERY VERY lucky.

cosm0catNot to get super math-y on you, but the first is 1/5000, the second is 1/4999, third is 1/4998, fourth 1/4997 and the last is 1/4996. Unfortunately, it's not 1/1000 for a top prize. Essentially, you have the same odds to get any one of the top prizes.

oryan_dunnahhh I see, thanks for the correction. I was thinking along the lines of an equation, not odds. I had just divided each by five and figured 1 : 1000 without really thinking about it

oryan_dunnbut there is a 5/5000 chance of winning a major prize. so it really is 1:1000. C'mon dude you're explaining the odds of winning a specific prize, not a major prize.

CamboI think those that didn't get the first major prize will be placed back into the pool for the second major prize. So the odds of winning each specific prize is 1/(5000 - n) where n is the major prize already won. So the first major prize odds are 1/5000, second prize odds are 1/4999, and so on and so forth.
In your case, after the first major prize is drawn, the 999 that didn't get the prize won't get any chance of winning the next major prize. That's just mean :)

oryan_dunnYes to get any one of them sure, but the point is if you just want any of the top prize then the probability is indeed 1/1000.
