Xeno makes good budget lights, so I was very curious to read about this drop... but I will pass as well. Based upon the modes and specs, it sounds like this ES100 has the same guts as the aluminum ES1 that Xeno released 1+ years ago, but with a body machined from Titanium -- minus the utilitarian knurling, plus some fins/ridges (meh) added for flair.
The ES1 is a strange choice from which to build a custom Ti edition. For starters, the ES1 wasn't an especially successful model, mostly because it didn't significantly improve on the older E03 (which was, by comparison, very popular with flashaholics). The ES1 also has a few documented weaknesses -- a clicky switch that is difficult to actuate, poor (purple) emitter tint, and a lack of li-ion support -- none of which appear to have been addressed in this revision. So when I look at the ES100, my first thought is "why?" :\
With an improved clicky switch, a bolt-on Ti clip, a new and/or high-CRI emitter, real 14500 support, and a proper low/medium/high/turbo mode order... that would have been worthwhile.
