A dress diver with a flair for style, the Sorrento Automatic from Melbourne Watch Company is water resistant to a whopping 200 meters, yet it would blend in nicely at a dinner banquet. The dial features horizontal grooves that set it apart. It’s surrounded by circular indices and chunky rectangular indices at 3,6, and 9 o’clock. At 12 are two dots to help orient the watch in dark conditions—not to mention it has luminous coating on the hands and markers. To keep track of elapsed time the Sorrento also has a grooved 120-click engraved bezel with a double layer of aluminum over enamel. All of the markers are inlaid except for the one raised pearl at top center. Housed in the stainless steel case and sapphire crystal is Miyota 9015 24-jewel movement for accuracy.
Note: At checkout, choose between the black dial (SO.42.A.3HN.01), blue dial (SO.42.A.3HN.02), and white dial (SO.42.A.3HN.03). Quantities of each are limited.
Founded in, you guessed it, Melbourne, Australia in 2013, Melbourne Watch Company first sprung onto the scene with the Flinders: a crowd-funded and community-designed timepiece that received enormous success. Since that launch, MWC has expanded its product line to include five more models, each offering a distinctly Aussie approach to traditional watch aesthetics. Every MWC watch is named for a notable location in the company's home of Melbourne—from Flinder Street Station to the Avalon Airfield.
