The F nib on this pen is quite nice. They aren't scratchy and I haven't experienced any skips.
Here I have it inked with Robert Oster's Fire & Ice. Shading is far more apparent on the page itself than in photo, but I am also using tomoe river.

Please note that I do generally write smaller than most.
Even if you can't get a M nib, for the price I can't recommend this pen more. Personally I do prefer the F over the M but such things are simply preference. For the price of this pen you aren't losing much if you find you don't like it.
akdlsHave to agree. I have an F and an M and I love them both equally, like siblings.
Also, must commend your choice of inks. That's what I currently have in my lamy studio 14k M; never seen shading like it before. Plus the color is just gorgeous
writerstephenBoth nibs are great indeed!
As for the ink, it's definitely one of my favorites. The shading is superb, and while I typically lean towards slight green, Fire & Ice is just so gorgeous. Tranquility is nice too (leaning more green), but Fire & Ice can't be beat. Robert Oster is also a great guy so I'd gladly support his endeavors. He replied to me just this morning thanking me for enjoying his inks.
akdlsI would add that i didn't like "Summer Storm" at all. Too dry and unsaturated for my taste. But i might try a sample of Tranquility (love Goulet's samples)!
