seems like a nice gadget... I have a Nikon D7100 which has built in an 'Interval timer shooting mode" which does automatic time lapse for still and video. I am trying to figure out if this device goes beyond that or is just more of the same.
makethegradeHey @makethegrade! Happy to give more info here. Michron offers a higher level of functionality than that found in current camera applications by allowing you to Bulb Ramp exposure (ie. during sunrise/sunset) and speed ramp your intervals (ie. if there's a portion of the time lapse you know will need a lower/higher interval, such as a ship passing through a scene). Furthermore, Michron can serve as an external trigger, run a queue of time lapses (with automatic preset options at the ready), and enable HDR time lapse imagery for a wide range of possibilities. Also, you don't need to keep your phone plugged in for any of this- just upload settings from the app, unplug your phone from Michron, and connect Michron to your camera with the included shutter cable. Michron will automatically begin your time lapse settings once connected to the camera :)
