The product we are offering is not the exact product that you linked to on Newegg.
We would never mislead the community. If this in fact was a refurbished product we would clearly state that in the title so it would not be missed by anyone. The few refurbished products that Massdrop has dropped all had refurbished in the title of the drop.
Next, to the product that you linked it is only $50 cheaper than our drop here. The model we are offering here was a business/commercial build that was not offered to the general retail channels.
While this is on the NewEgg website it is not being sold by NewEgg. It is being sold by the user vius. Who has 4/5 stars and only 16 total reviews. 4 of which are very negative stating they got the wrong products and could not return them.
So, you are really not comparing Apples to Apples here and the $50 savings is not very attractive if you consider everything

XenonXoniIf you commit to the drop you are only agreeing to purchase the unit if the final drop point is reached. If you join the drop and the final drop point is not reached then you will pay the higher $329.99 price. However, if you join the drop and the final price is unlocked then you will pay the lower price.
The choice is up to you but I would encourage everyone who is interested in any products on Massdrop to either join the drop or commit to the drop. Do not sit around and wait and see if the drop is successful before joining. This just might cause the drop to be unsuccessful as so many people are just waiting for it to unlock the final drop point that it never reaches it.
