Recently picked up a set of Mission 767 + LFAU booster amp bass control unit. Manufactured in the early 90's so there is little to no relation to current speakers or company. The 767's are an amazing sounding unit and high quality build. Very detailed sound, excellent imaging, and powerful but musical bass.

TinbenderAre you running these separate in a 2ch config or some sort of front-surround? Just curious as in my 2nd room, I run a 5.1 in front-surround due to space and room config.

I assume he doesn't want to use the the 7.1 amp with this 2.1 setup; I can see that in certain situations, specifically when wife not involved.

If I thought it was too much.................it never would have happened. I have expectations when it comes to music enjoyment, and while I am thrilled with the movie sound experience, I find the 2 channel music from the same system to be lifeless and difficult to listen to for extended periods. I spent a lot of time trying all of the possibilities of that receiver for music and was never happy with the result for very long. Two different needs - Two separate systems. Overkill? Possibly. Enjoyable? Beyond description!

w00mI am a lucky guy. Wife joins me often for movies and music. The music is straight 2.0. The Missions out perform the SVS sub musically and are rated down to 20 hz.

TinbenderPlease don't kid yourself. These speakers sound like a pair of $300. Don't believe me. Ask Massdrop to play a sample and post it on YouTube. Not good enough to be worth $1000.

TinbenderI understand. I have Movie stereo and Music Stereo in the same room; though they aren't actually next to each other (and neither are of similar quality to yours - much jealousy).

TinbenderForgot to ask what's your Polk's setup? I've been using the monitor series II 40, 50, 70 and CS2 (center) & PSW505 (sub) in my 7.1.2 atmos setup. They're old loudspeakers but they still sound pretty good considering all things.

jaydunndidditRTi12's for left/right, RTi8 for center (blended much better with the 12's than a CS20 I started with), and FXiA6's for front/rear surround with the SVS sub. Using a Pioneer SC-1323-K receiver for control. Accumulated over a 3 year period through special sales, discontinued sales, open/damaged packaging items, etc.. Very contented with the result.
