ok. i need some help. I was set to dive into getting the Oppo PM-3 but these are very interesting. I did some searching for comparisons but didn't have any luck. ANYONE able to comment on both. PM-3 @ 399 vs these?? I like the closed and I have not used electrostatics before. Any links or insights very appreciated. I can only get one set of cans and these as massdrop has a definite window of opportunity. I have been on the hunt and saving for a long time. its a big luxury for me so I really appreciate your input. thanks in advance

JTULLHere is an almost comparison. It compares the Oppo PM3 to the Mitchell & Johnson MJ2. Scroll down to the comparison section. https://headfonics.com/2017/02/the-mj2-by-mitchell-johnson/2/
Haven't heard the JP1. Another review briefly compared it to the MJ2. The JP1 was tuned slightly warmer.

BansakuHearing a friend's AKG K340, when they originally came out, is what caused me to pledge for the Mitchell & Johnson GL2 on Kickstarter. Saying there are no good sounding electro/dynamic headphones is like saying there are no good electro/dynamic loudspeakers. Lots of Martin - Logan fans would disagree.

JTULLget the PM-3 asap,
while it it is still under $310 it is a good deal. Oppo is going out of business, and that means those are staring to go up in price. Get em while they are still at a good price
