Sounds was pretty good, for the price. Build quality was not

I had these for only a few months (and a handful of hours use) before the chord developed a fault and they would only produce sound if held in the right position. MassDrop stated that they do not cover the product. The insert that was in the box with the headphones indicated a 1 year manufacturer warranty. I attempted to contact Mitchell & Johnson via email several times, with no reply.

Very disappointed. Unless I have a lemon-pair, these woefully underperform. Sound is dull. Like listening out of a soup can. Flat listening experience. No excitement. No soundstage to speak of. My HiFi 4xx's blow them out of the water. Not even in the same ballpark. Even my Bose in-ear phones sound better. Mitchell and Johnson need to go back to the drawing board. I wish I had never bought a pair.

Sounds ok, specially for this price but they are so toy-alike. Plastic everywhere. Cheap look and feel which kills the pros of sound. I would not buy this next time.

I'm ok with the sound. Good addition to my other ones. But built (look good, feel cheap and this stupid stiff as hell cabel) is less my thing. They also have a strange fit. But maybe because they use electrostats. For the price a ok buy.

Pretty much the same as most. Feels really cheap but sounds surprisingly good for the price. If you cannot afford more, than this is a solid value for the $'s. There are definitely better ones but few at this price. I was curious about how headphones at this price would sound and I was surprised they sound as well as they do. If you can move up in price, the purple hearts are a great value.

The overall sound is good. The mid frequencies lack some presence. What I don't like is the plastic construction very flimsy

Descent for the Massdrop price but nothing really special sonically or construction. Non detachable cable is a big minus as well. It would make an impressive gift for the price paid however!

I'm surprised that they sound good. I have them amped and the bass is deep and not distorted. I compared them to my ATH M50 X for bass. I also compared them with HM5. You can't beat them for the price.

Been giving these a longer audition today and have to revise my review downward... these headphones have almost no sound stage / spaciousness. Sound Quality: C+ - Highs are solid, mids okay, bass a bit lacking. Overall these don't sound as big as some other headphones (SHP9500s for example); even playing a song like Elements from Lindsey Stirling which is normally a spacious song sounded smaller. Listening to some Tito Puente... feels like the entire band is sitting on top of my head, actually had to take them off after a while. Vocals seem forward (which I like). Instruments like horns and violins sound pretty good through these. Build Quality: D+ - Build quality is that of a pair of headphones that one for find hanging on the shelf at Target for $15. Cable is too short, seems intended more for mobile use vs desktop use. Comfort: C+ - the poor build quality makes these light. the cups are small to me though. Clamp factor is good; I have a round head and don't find them too tight or too loose. Overall: Probably a C-. At $30-$40, probably an okay buy... sound quality is okay (especially with some instruments) but far too narrow. the cheap feel drops these by a fair amount to me. Can't say I'd recommend them unless you want to just try a little something new.
